USA DANCE DALLAS, CHAPTER #5044 ELECTION OF OFFICERS - 2011
Dear chapter member,
It is election time for the Board of Directors of USA Dance Dallas. Do you have a special talent the chapter could use? Do you have a great vision of the chapter’s future? The dances and the chapter can only be as good as the members make it. This is your opportunity to show us whom you would like to represent you.
You may nominate yourself or any other voting member in good standing of USA Dance Dallas. A current membership of USA Dance Dallas is required to be eligible to nominate, vote and serve. Any qualified member may also present a petition signed by at least 20 members. Those signing must have been chapter members (member number of each signer required) for at least 4 months prior to the election date, and they may not sign another petition during the same year. Nominating a person more than once does not improve her/his chances of getting elected. Any name on the final ballot will be listed only once.
Send in the nomination form to NEC - USA Dance Dallas, 3630 Harry Hines Blvd, Dallas TX 75219, or drop it off at any dance of USA Dance Dallas on or before 09/24/2011.
In case you want to nominate someone other than yourself, please obtain a written verification of this person’s willingness to serve and attach it to the nomination form. Qualified and verified nominees will be placed on a ballot, which will be mailed to members in October.
To be a director, you must be a current member, teamwork-oriented and promise to serve the interest of all members of USA Dance Dallas. Directors meet once a month, but they also communicate frequently by e-mail and phone to keep the chapter running.
The new 2-year term begins on 01/01/2012. In case you do not want to be a director but would still like to help, please contact any of the current board members. You can volunteer to set up / clean up, run a dance or help as a member of several committees. Let us hear from you!
